Want a Free DJI Drone or a 360 Degree Camera?

Apologies for the clickbait title but it really is true. Sort of. You don’t actually get to keep them forever, but both Google, and DJI are letting people borrow their expensive equipment, for free :)

Here are the details of how to get hold of them yourself.

How To Get a Free Drone
DJI are letting people borrow a DJI Mavic drone for 2 weeks as part of a collaboration with National Geographic. To get one, you just need to fill in an online form and you should get a confirmation within a week. You then collect your drone and return it 2 weeks later. This scheme is running until October 31st 2017.

The full details and application form is here http://events.dji.com/mavicfreerental

How To Get a Free 360 Degree Camera
Google also have a free loan programme so you can get your hands on a 360 degree camera. The application form and process is a little more complicated than the DJI one. You need to give them a reason, or have a particular project in mind, that you’d like to use the camera for.

I filled in my application around a month ago and heard this week that I’ve been accepted. I’ll be receiving a Ricoh Theta 360 camera shortly, and get to keep it for 45 days :)

Thanks

Richard
