The company now has a name!
The company now has a name! I did some more thinking over the weekend and went through all the suggestions people had sent me (thank you all who did btw) and have gone with one of my initial thoughts that a few people also suggested too.
It will be called “10 Minute Marketing” :)
I think this fits nicely with the paragraph I’ve been using, to sum up what the company is all about as follows:
“The company will provide marketing training for small businesses, delivered online. Rather than have stacks of documentation, complex marketing plans, and hours of content to wade through, everything will be simple and checklist based. My aim is to make it easy for people to nail their marketing in just 10 minutes a day.”
So onto today, day 4 of this 7 day process. Today is all about putting together a simple 1 page website for the company. There are a couple of different approaches that the 7 Day Startup book gives options of here. 1) Just having a placeholder with some info, 2) Getting people to sign up to hear when it launches, or 3) Actually selling the product/service. I’ll be going with number 2 for now.
As usual, I’ll send another update, and be sharing this one page website with you this evening :)
Thanks
Richard
