The 5am Hustle & Grind 10x Club

I’m typically up at 5am, fire up the laptop, and get a couple of hours work done before the rest of my family are up and about. It’s usually my most productive time of day, mainly because of the peace and quiet and lack of interruptions.

If you listen to many Entrepreneur “gurus” they’ll say that to be successful you need to be up at 5am, constantly be hustling, always grinding away at your business, and working 18 hour days every day. That’s not my definition of success. It’s also not a sustainable way of living. But it is a great way to burn yourself out.

So if that’s what I think, why am I up working at 5am? Because that’s when I naturally wake up and when I do my best work. That’s not always been the case though. I used to be up far later and years ago my most productive working hours were from 9pm-1am. We’re all different so don’t listen to the gurus, find what works best for you.

P.S. I’m not saying there won’t be times when you do need to put the hours and effort in, it should just be the exception rather than the norm.
