Naming the company…

So… I may have overestimated how much time I’d have free today to come up with the company name. I’ve been at an all day event today in Birmingham (a 5 hour round trip) and didn’t get a minute the whole day. I’ve only just got home and checked social media and email so have lots of suggestions to go through. There is also a spanner in the works as a name I’d previously thought would work really well ( Ten Minute Marketing ) seems to have the .com domain taken. A pity as a couple of other people had suggested exactly the same to me too :(

I’ve also had a few people say they missed the update on exactly what the company will do. So here it is in a nutshell:

“The company will provide marketing training for small businesses, delivered online. Rather than have stacks of documentation, complex marketing plans, and hours of content to wade through, everything will be simple and checklist based. My aim is to make it easy for people to nail their marketing in just 10 minutes a day.”

With all this in mind, and as my next official day of the challenge is Monday I’ve decided to extend the naming of the company until the end of the weekend. As a reminder, below are the criteria for the name.

1. Is it not taken (domain names etc)?
2. Is it simple (the shorter the better)?
3. Does it sound good (shouldn’t have to spell it out on phone)?
4. Does it fit with the idea?
5. Is it broad (It should be flexible if the product is tweaked later)?

If you’ve got any ideas then just reply to this email to let me know :)

Thanks

Richard
