My Number 1 Tip For Monday Morning Motivation

It’s Monday morning and I’ve just had a great weekend. I’ve spent it enjoying all sorts of things with my family and my friends. I’m sure that lots of other people have been doing exactly the same. I’m also pretty sure that lots of other people will have woken up this morning, and will be feeling down as they’re about to spend the next five days doing a job they don’t like. Is this a compromise in their lives worth making? Not in my opinion. We only get so many hours and days in our lives, so why spend the majority of our waking hours, doing things we don’t like. My advice? If you don’t truly enjoy what you’re doing most of the time (yes, even I have the occasional off day, hence I say most!), make changes to your life so that you are.

I feel lucky that I never feel down on Monday morning. In fact, quite the opposite, after a couple of days off (no matter how good they are), I’m raring to get back into my work. I had a think about this and why that’s the case. The answer I came up with, is because I’m doing things that I really want to do. I’m not just doing my work to get paid, I’m doing it for the enjoyment.

So what’s my number 1 tip for motivation? Simply this; Spend your days doing things that you love, and make you feel fulfilled. That way, you’ll rarely need any rah rah motivation to get out of bed each Monday morning.

Thanks

Richard
