Marketing Isn’t Just About Finding New Contacts
Most people think that marketing is all about finding new customers and attracting new people to your business. But it’s not just about that. It’s also about the existing people you know and building even better relationships with them. This is done with consistent ongoing communication. That way you stay in their thoughts and aren’t forgotten about. So if/when they’re looking to buy what you sell, you’re the person they think about and come to.
So today’s tip is a really quick and easy one. It’s simply contact three people you already know, every single day. And not with a sales message! If you’ve recently seen an article you think may be useful to someone, send it to them. It could be a “I just wondered how are you getting on with the widget you bought in January?”. Or even just a “How are you doing? What’s new?” type message. By doing this every single weekday, that’s the start of 780 conversations over the course of a year!
