Keep it simple

Something I’ve learnt in business (and life in general) is that things tend to work better when you keep them as simple as possible.

I was reminded just how true this is today. One of our laptop batteries had come to the end of it’s life so I bought a replacement. On all my previous laptops changing the battery was a simple operation of sliding the old one out and putting the new one in. Not these days!

Firstly I had to remove the back cover of the laptop but even worse was a combo of screws including tiny torx T8’s to remove the actual battery. I didn’t have one and even after wasting over an hour visiting 5 local shops (DIY and electrical) I still don’t so can’t swap the battery. For a consumable like a battery, this shouldn’t be so complex!!!
