Welcome to 1 Minute Marketing Monday!

When you’re dealing with a customer or a prospective customer, do you only ever think of things from your own perspective? You shouldn’t! Always try to see things from their perspective, and think about the experience THEY are receiving. Quite often we all have processes and/or systems in our businesses which is all well and good, but only if it improves your customer experience. Unfortunately, I’ve come across the exact opposite before which has actually stopped me buying something I’d already decided I was going to.

The other thing to watch out for is using industry terminology that you use every day but may mean absolutely nothing to someone who isn’t in your industry. It will make something sound confusing or too complicated and inevitably ends in them not buying.

So in summary; Always think of things from your customers perspective, and keep things simple and don’t use industry jargon.

Thanks

Richard
