Incense sticks

I spotted all these incense sticks in a garden recently. The way these are made is something I’d not even thought about before. Split bamboo is used for the core of the stick. It is soaked in water/glue and then rolled in incense powder. This is repeated a couple of times to build up the thickness and then they are left out to dry in the sun.
