How to get notified whenever anyone mentions you online

Welcome to 1 Minute Marketing Monday!

The internet is a big, busy place so how on earth can you keep track of when and where people are talking about you. Wouldn’t it be good if you could automatically get notified whenever somebody mentions your company or product. Good news, you can!

You can use Google Alerts which is an often underused free service. You just setup search terms in there (such as your company or product name) and whenever it’s mentioned online, you’ll get an email notification to let you know when and where. This is great for being able to not just keep tabs, but more importantly, to interact with the people who are talking about you online.

You can also set up searches for competitors names as that’s often a good way to see other places on the web you should maybe be hanging out too. You can even use it for specific search terms to help you find people who are actively looking for a product or service like yours.

Thanks

Richard
