A couple of months ago the children made traditional Hoi An lanterns using really bright and colourful materials. They’ve been hung up in our garden since and are now so bleached from the sun they hardly have any colour left.

I’ve even found the same with my clothes. Lots of my t-shirts now looked washed out and old. It’s amazing just how much the sun has faded them in everyday use.

No wonder it’s so easy to get sunburnt here!
